From 1958 through 1966, John McMorris was a West Indian cricketer who appeared in 13 Tests.
He was a prolific scorer for Jamaica, averaging over 60 points per season in five domestic seasons and scoring a career-high 218 points against Guyana in 1966-67.
 The Jamaican government awarded McMorris the Order of Distinction in 1972. At the age of 86, he died on February 1, 2022.
